St. John music festival in Marin County California!?

Sunday, August 23 @ 1:00PM — 6:00PM (PDT, UTC-07)Sun, Aug 23 @ 1:00PM — 6:00PM (PDT, UTC-07)

Paper Mill Creek Saloon, 1 Castro Street , Forest Knolls, CA 94933

In an unlikely Western migration pattern, five bands from the tropical island of St. John, USVI find themselves here in Northern California without a home. From the white sand, rum-soaked beaches of the Caribbean to the cool, Coastal Redwoods, we can’t even begin to explain how or why (truth is, they were among the acts booked at the sadly imploded Freak Nest festival in SF). But trust us. St. John knows how to rock. Join us for an afternoon in the saloon for a splash of psychedelic, island-inspired funk, rock, and pop direct from the Virgin Islands. The Orange Peels was a regular in the SF music scene before its founders moved to St. John for 5 years. Now they’re back out west, and they brought their friends. PUZL, Mother Goat and The Housewives Of Saint John are all dropping new music in coming days.

All the bands including Chasing Hues are a part of GOOD DUCK Records, the island label founded by Allen Clapp and Jared Warren and dedicated to supporting artists and music on the tiny island. Show is Sunday, August 23 at the Papermill CreekSaloon in Forest Knolls from 1-5 p.m. Free!
