Fresh music out today: "If I Live" by The Housewives Of Saint John! The second single from the band's forthcoming debut album, "If I Live" is a reflection on time, age, youth, and how there's just not enough of any of 'em. What we get is a country-tinged classic-rock storyteller vibe that floats on a huge harmonic chorus (angelic harmonies courtesy of Jalil Jahantab and Aaron Strickland).
Solid but plodding backbeat by Taylor Lissandrello anchors the arrangement while Strick and Travis flesh out the rhythm textures. A sultry guitar solo sneaks up on you before it 'verbs out into the sunset. Recorded and mixed by Allen Clapp at Coral Star Sound Studio on St. John, the track features cistern reverb and a spacious stereo spread. Kudos to Travis Riddle and the gang here. Happy release day to the Housewives!
