The new single from Moss Henry is a study in contrasts: it’s a chill swamp groove until things heat up. And they heat up fast. “Playing With Fire” is as much about the cool as it is about the burn.
@captmoss commands the action with a powerful vocal while the Island Band does the gear-shifting. @strickly.business brings the heat, but also the relief with leads that soothe and scorch. @taylorlissandrello moves between a syncopated shuffle and a full blown arena rock drum figure. @realestjalilest glues it together with a bass line that grounds and hops. Mixed by @lofiluther at St. John’s own @coralstarstudio with a healthy dose of Cistern Reverb, it’s a little slice of what we all love doing.
It's his second non-album release since his debut full-length, “Gone Away” lit up the streaming landscape in the early days of 2025. Keep an eye out for more on the horizon in 2026!
Happy Halloween, and happy listening!
