We’ve got a big surprise for you all today: New music from native USVI artist The Addis Revolution! This has been brewing for almost two years at the GOOD DUCK headquarters in Coral Bay (Coral Star studio), and now we are so excited to present to you the first song of this new collection.
“The Day” is hard-hitting Reggae Rock that is as gigantic in scope as it is rich in granular detail. Watch for the signs. Listen for the signals. They’re all present and accounted for.
String king Aaron Strickland deals a serious groove on bass, and shreds searing leads when they’re needed. Broheem On Sax carries the hook. Pam and Addis create their own island choir. Allen Clapp adds synthesizer bleeps and bloops and programmed beats.
Addis has a voice that holds it all together and guides you through the chaos. It’s a voice that carries a heavy message with elegance and reverence. Congratulations to The Addis Revolution (aka Warren Addis Smith)!
